You know, I saw that in the most recent version shop manual. The prior version said replace them as they were TTY. In both is a photo of all three types of head bolts. Mine were the kind that have the skinny midsection. I was hoping to replace them with standard bolts.

At this point I'm inclined to use those bolts. Thanks for the encouragement!

I think they have a new torque spec. I torqued mine to what they stated and they felt ok. The did not feel like I was over torquing them.
