On a side note, I feel like I may have overreacted a little in a post last week about the state of the site. I stick mainly to the GT and implement section and it primarily consists of rebuild or restoration threads so I instantly assumed that was what it was all talking about. Rebuilds with lots of pictures showing the progression is my favorite part of the site and was taking it personally when I thought that was what others were unhappy about. I am thankfully wrong and very glad to be part of a community that cares about the same things I do.

So without much further ado, I present the thrower all mounted up and my 127 officially “Snow Ready”. I'm loving the new wear edge because it now sits level on the concrete instead of with an inch gap on one side, touching in the middle and a half inch on the other. If I had a concrete driveway anymore, I probably wouldn't need to follow up with the blade to have clear the driveway.

Only a few small drifts of about 3 inches around the farm so the test run turned out a little muddy. Brought it back to the shop and I mounted the new Carlise tires. Now it is back at home to wait for enough snow to actually get to use it.

They are 23x10.5x12 TruPowers. It took about an hour to mount them with 2 tire spoons. Since then I've learned and bought a manual tire changing station from Harbor Freight that makes it about a 5 minute job.

Good stuff! One day I'll refinish/build my QA42A as well! I also have the HF manual tire changer - full size and the mini one.. works well for tractor/trailer type tires!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
