123 "Tiger" Cub Cadets In The Circus Act

I'd love to know the truth as to how much actually got tore up on those machines after reading the article. Yeah Cadets are tough, but they aren't tanks.

I'd like to know that too. Anyone know just how durable those 123 trannies are? I'd love to see the test data they probably did.

I don't know Guys, I'm pretty gentle on my gear drive Cubs, but my hydros get slammed back an forth pretty hard most of the time. I guess there are many would say that I beat the "heck" out of my hydros.

I'm sure that I'll break something some day but so far, yeah, they are tanks!

And Lew probably has the actual tractors in the magazine too...

I just noticed that at least one has a leopard paint job.
And another one might have a zebra paint job vervus the obvious tiger one.

And I bet they busted some front axles if nothing else doing those jumps.

I wonder if anyone has replicated those paint jobs on their trailer queen show tractor 123?
That would be kinda cool.

To answer your questions, I dropped the front driver's left tire down in a hole where a tree stump was removed on my property and the axle held up just fine, but the frame plate under the engine now has a crack (which may have come from engine vibration??).

And if you look in my album of my profile, you will see a 123 with that striped paint job AND A REALLY COOL TAIL! It is the one in front of the Sinclair Dino Pump. One feature that is easily overlooked is the little ears that they put up on the hoods of those cubs.

That is way cool!! I have wanted to do that on a 123 ever since I saw them painted that way in the ad, but never got around to it. Guess I will have to live vicariously through your work. I sold one of my 123's last year, so now I am down to only one and have reservations about it. What a cool attraction for a parade queen.

Man I'd love to have one painted up like that they are definatly cool. And for the record I flat out abuse my hydros some days. Specialy in the winter while pushing snow. The ONLY issue I've ever had were a set of auto relief valves that would leak. And the cork gasket a time or two. But nothing outside of maintenence issues that actualy stopped them...you gotta think alot of these hydros have later longer then 3 or 4 engines in the machines without even having the fins cleaned off. I've owned quite a few that still had the original ih filter on them and probably the original fluid
