44” mower deck interchange
I was wondering if a 44” mower deck off a cub cadet 1811 would fit a 1450? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Physically, yes. The Center Pulley will have to changed to accommodate the belt size of the 1450. You will need.... #IH-126393-C1 Pulley.

That is good news, it gives me more options to acquire a good deck! Thank you and hope you have a nice holiday season!

If original to the 1811, the deck is a 44C deck. The deck correct for a 1450 would be a 44A. There are minor differences between them, most notably, the center pullet size and belt pitch, and the front deck wheels versus the deck skids on the older decks.

Thank you for the info. I live in NE and finding decent cub parts is tough, and if you do they want good money! I finally finished the restoration of my 1450 in this past spring so I’m hoping to get the deck, mule drive and lift frame done over the winter so I can use it in the spring. Problem is the tractor is squeaky clean and I know what is going to look like after cutting the lawn!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
