Default New Kansas member

Hey there,

I'm new to Cub Cadet collecting and was wondering if there was any other Kansas forum members? I'm from SE KS and would like to know if there is anyone close.
I bought my first Cub (1450) a couple weeks ago and just bought another today .
I collect about anything IH such as memorabilia, old parts, toys, literature, and now 2 Cubs.
I also have three IH tractors, a H, 340 & 1066 and I belong to IHCC #3

NE Kansas myself. KC area.
Welcome aboard. Just about all the info about cubs can be found here somewhere. I myself have a few Farmalls (Cub, Super C, M, MD, 450, TD9, TD18 and it seems way to many cubs now. 782, 682, 1250, 147 and a newly acquired 2072. (Tiller, blades and Snowthrower for add-ons. Best part of the cubs is they fit in the garage and not heavy to lift.
Red is a Fever. lol

Welcome, one harvester. Put on the coffee, pull up a chair and stay awhile.

I'm now in N.E. Ohio, grew up near Memphis, Tn. I worked for a small IH dealer when the 1066 was a very popular full-size Farmall.

What do you use the 1066 to do? I helped a couple of the journeyman mechanics perform tractor-to-cotton picker and back conversions on a few 400's and 450's when I worked there in 1971 & 1972.

Again, welcome, and

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
