Don't you just hate it when the wife eats into your cub time?!

Looking great!

You kids need to learn that when Mama is not happy nobody is happy. Plenty of time to work on the Cubs. Screw it up and you will be selling the Cubs to pay for the divorce settlement. Ya got to get your priorities in order.

Happy wife happy life. When I get ready to put some time and decent money into anything cub related, I buy her a purse or something

Got back to the shop by 5PM. My dad and brother helped me slip the engine in. Went pretty smooth. Just hope I got the wiring harness back in the right spot I never took a picture of where it passed through under the instrument pedestal in relation to the power steering motor bracket....

Just a FYI, it's easier to put the radiator in before you put the engine in on those, ask me how I know.

Dressed up some wiring today. Put the brake pedal return springs on. Got both floor boards on. Cleaned the slathered grease/oil mess off the radiator and then flushed it out. Bought a new battery for it. Hope to get a bunch more done tomorrow. That left rear rim is a mess at the valve stem. That will need to be replaced.

Are you going to paint the rims? What color you going to paint the rims?, I think you should paint them Burgundy. You know, after Ron Burgundy? You ever seen, anchorman? Paint them after Ron Burgundy. Or something, I don't know.

Yup. The rim is bad by the stem. Put the back hitch plate on (with the previous owners hammer strap). Got the pedal rubber pads on. Put the foot treads on. Put the front hanger bolts in for the mule drive. Fuel line finished with new filter. Drive shaft in- kind a pain to install. Radiator in and filled. Put the fender pan/seat up port on. Got new lines on the gas tank after cleaning out the fuel shut off valves, which were horrid. Put the tank on. And the pig turned around under it's own power!!!! And yes, I am drinking a couple beers right now. Put 12 hours in on it today. Drive shaft is smooooooooth!!!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
