Steve

I think I have a lift frame for a Haban in my stash of used parts. If I do and if it's better than what you have you can have it. Just cover the shipping.

Great offer, Sam. Thank you. I have mine welded up pretty good at this point. But I will certainly keep it in mind.

Made it back into the shop to work on this Cub. The wiring has been giving me some trouble. Finally found a push in terminal with a bad wire crimp. The wire was added for the relay upgrade. It made it outside under it's own power!!!!

The hydraulic valve is showing the leak which caused so much grease and crud under the tower. Need to study the parts diagrams and get some orings. Hope there are no cracked lines.

The carb is leaking too. Will get some orings ordered for that also.

Thanks for the kind words. Took the leaking line off the hydraulic valve. Found NO o-ring. Matched one up to the line size, put it together and no leak after running for 35 minutes. Smoothed the carb out so it quit surging. Set the neutral on the hydro plate. Turned the front the axle bolt around- had the nut facing towards front of machine

Then I began stripping the Haban deck. I will strip it and ready it for paint. Only real problem is one third of baffle under neath is missing. Hoping get that welded up next weekend.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
