It's an 86.

Bit much for what it is. Very nice tractor though. It's more like a $1000 machine if it is all original.

Looks repainted to me. Nice condition though but not $1,600. Maybe half that tops IMO.

You are probably closer on price than I, but I don't think it's a repaint. Not the white anyway. Look at the decals.

I saw overspray on the pto engagement rod, I think at least yellow has been redone in certain areas. Think you’re right about the white. Hey that rhymed.

That makes more sense. When you click on the picture, you can see it's an 86.

When I looked from cell phone I couldn't make out the numbers but saw the yellow strip.. On computer I could see it and make it out on his hand written sign there. Was still not super clear on the computer tho.

I saw an 2 different ads today I had to laugh at

one Said 1956 Cub cadet 100 and the other said 1950's cub cadet 108 LOL. Both had insanely high prices

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
