Thank you Jon, for the positive feed back! The "noise" has had me on the brink of insanity. I knew it was there, but could never pin-point the location while the tractor was in motion. I'm nearly def in one ear, so you could imagine me getting along. You were right in your suggestion that the noise would not be coming from the trans axle, and we both doubted it was in the pump because my pump was function clearly, it seemed.

I have not yet removed this new inner bearing from the new front rim. But I will share what's discovered. The new bearing feels and sounds bad, and can't understand it's final demise.

Got out and got some yellow sprayed down, and that's about it for a Sunday!

Picked up my 8.5"x12" rear rims from the sandblasting shop. I'll post up some pictures, and give the shop a plug:

They were pretty clean, and so I cleaned them further by spraying alcohol on then, and drying with compressed air.

I apologize for the bigger than needed pictures above. Darn- something went crooked on me

Well, here are the Cub Cadet valve stems for my rear rims. Part number on the bag. Price was $2.18 each.

Also today, I got some paint for these rims. Thought about the Cub Cadet white, but at $16 a can, and plus the fact of getting the new tires on the rims, there is going to be some paint screw-up's happing. $5.29 from local hardware, recommended for lawn and garden equipment, and will have some left over to correct the paint work to the rims after tire install. It's pretty good for a rattle, as I've used it before

Paint the inside of the wheels, mount your tires. Tape off the tires, then paint the outside of the wheels.
GUARANTEE you, that paint will not hold up to mounting the tires after painting, no matter how careful you are.

Default update

I removed the inner wheel bearing that was bran spanking new, from my front rim that also was bran new. This is what I found:



I knew I was hearing something, but never suspected it to be these components. Well, I went on to install the replacement bearing and all is well here. I recall having a problem with the cap screw that goes through the large washer and into the wheel spindle securing the rim to the spindle. Darn cap screw would constantly back out, resulting in a loose everything. I'm almost sure I over tightened the cap screw and this was the end result. Now, I'm thinking if the cap screw does this again, I might try to put a mar in the threads to prevent the back out from reoccurring.

I also installed to my 1450 the freshly painted wheel spindles. I have the drag and tie rod drying in yellow and hope to get those on the tractor later today. I got the insides of the rear rims painted in off white, and new stems put in as well.
