Warm pool=very nice. Less humidity would be helpful. I like the fall. Time to get the bow tuned up and make sure the rifle scopes are on target. Can smell the venison cooking right now...

Last year when I was finishing up the garden, I bundled up the corn stalks 8-10 per bundle brought them down to the road and put a free sign up.

Parents that had small children would stop and load them up to place around the outside of their house for Halloween.

In the past I always ran the corn stalks through the wood chipper than dumped them in the compost pile.

This year I'll do the same as last year.......I'm sure the parents and the kids enjoyed getting them for free.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for fall, but I could be good with lower humidity and temps. Tired of swimming in my clothes.

Hang on there, buddy!! Each season is fun in its own right. Our Masonic Lodge has a fun fall plan. We put on a Haunted Lodge to the community for free will donations and 100% of any donated money we raise is given to different charities. We have a blast and for many of our underprivileged children in the community, it may be the only "thrill" they get. Everyone who goes through gets treats. It is a lot of fun!

Trust me....Put on a costume sometime and give out candy on your front porch. Look into the kids' eyes when you do and see how much fun they have.......man, what a great feeling that is!

Here are some "rare" photos of me as a 6'4" Frankenstein and as a Dracula. I set up an electronic eye hooked up to a scoreboard buzzer, then I scare them until they back into the infrared beam and set off the buzzer.

91 here today. 65 dewpoint.75 on the screen porch now. I'm fine with that. Upper 50s when I get up is OK too, beyond that I start to have problems. 80/50s will be here this weekend and I can't wait! I have too much $h!t to do before it gets cold!

The only thing that's "in the air" here is the fresh smell of cow s#$%. Our renter chopped off his fourth crop alfalfa and now they are putting on the "fertilizer"...
Ah, the country life is the life for me.
And I'm with ya Sam.

I feel your pain Todd! We had a corn field in our backyard when I lived in pa. It usually happened about a month from now, but I always wished I lived somewhere else for a week!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
