I cannot guarantee for a Haban, only experience with a gt IH blade.
Are you starting from scratch?

I’m not sure what you mean by starting from scratch. I have a 2072 and a 54” haban blade with mount. I have looked for the power angle cylinder but cannot find one for a reasonable price and was considering trying the cylinder posted in this thread for a 54” blade. The haban blade has the cylinder mounts already attached. Hope this clears things up. Let me know.

Dont know anything about a Haban Blade, dont know if they come with all the brackets from the factory and you just add a cylinder or if it's like the IH blade where you have to install mounting brackets in addition to the cylinder to have power angle. If you have to build the brackets, similar to what you need for the IH, I consider that starting from scratch. If your blade already has the "mounting brackets" on it for the hydraulic cylinder then there just are a few things to do. A) measure the pin size in diameter B) when the blade is locked in the straight position measure the center to center distance between the two pins. C) subtract 4" from that measurement. This will give you the approximate CLOSED or RETRACTED length of the cylinder you need. Simply, when cylinder shopping, you need to know the diameter, pin size, and retracted length. In your case I'm guessing that you will need a double acting 1.5" bore x 8" stroke cylinder with a retracted measurement of X? You may need to change the stroke +2 or -2 depending but will need to add or subtract that from the halfway point. Clear as mud?

Good Morning,
I was able to get the 54" blade mounted on the tractor over the weekend. The model number on the blade is 190-401-100. Is it safe to say this is in fact a cub blade and not a haban? If so, I will order that cylinder for it. Does anyone know of a source on ebay or other online resource that sells the hydro lines ready to go? I was unable to locate any. Thanks in advance. |

You should be able to get the flex lines at Surplus Center.

I think Tractor Supply has an assortment of pre-made hoses as well. I did buy some adapters and fittings there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
