This is remarkable. I am astonished by how helpful this forum has been to you. To see this comment makes me sick. People have been posting pictures, measurements, suggestions, links to all of your thought/wishes/dreams. You respond by saying this?

Take a step back and go look at your posts, most if not all of you questions have been answered. People have put in a lot of time and effort to support your “builds”.

Edit: here’s to 19....

You know what? I'm leaving. For good this time. This forum has just regressed into what it was before.

There are tons of those running around. They are really no different than what you have just with different tinwork and more complicated engines. There’s not really anything you can do with an 82 series you couldn’t do with that 1250. Depending on the tractor, parts are generally easier to find on the 1250 too.

Lots of folks have given you good, sound advice. Take it or leave it, but I think you’d be better off finishing the project you’ve got started there before ADHDing yourself off to another one.

How in the world can someone be bored with a project such as this staring them in the face???
I'd be bored if I DIDN"T have something like this to work on!!
You may as well finish it, you'll be lucky to get $100 out of it the way is sits now.

We all know, the fun part is taking them all apart....
Then the dedicated work part begins.
Kinda like going to school...…..

All fun and games, at least it appears to be...
Then graduation comes along...…..Hopefully anyway.....
And then reality sets in
That is unless you have a well t do Mom and Dad w/an empty basement to live in.

BTDT, and came back after I cooled my heels.

You can't just up and quit because some guys aren't telling you what you want to hear. That's loser talk. Put down the keyboard and pick up your wrench and get back to work, and don't be a snowflake.

You were offered an 82 series from Tim for $100. That was an opportunity of a life time and you blew it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
