Default Deck paint

What is a good paint to coat the underside of a mower deck?

Well most anything will wear off quickly depending on what you mow/mulch,
and the type of lawn/dirt or lack of it you mow over.
Now it it is a trailer queen, paint it up real purdy because it will never be used or seen.
Some fellers use "slip plate" it is a graphite paint made to apply to things like grain wagons so crops slide easier, but it is short lived and requires seasonal reapplication.
I have also heard of fellers using truck bed liner stuff.
You are only limited by your imagination and resourcefulness.
Do let us know what works best for y'all

Personally,
I don't use anything and come this time of the year after I mulch leaves, sticks, cat/dawg critter excrement, stones and other chit I never know what it was but it makes a hell of a noise under the deck,
it is pretty shiny and polished under there.

I am trying 2 part epoxy paint, but it is not cheap. Going to be a while to say how good it is.

Same here.
Keep it clean with sharp blades so it will scour and it will stay clean.
Just don't mow heavy wet grass all the time and leave it set out in the grass when not in use.
Had my 54" deck off the GTX2154LE yesterday to change oil and there was only a couple handfuls around the spindles is all, the rest is shiny clean. It is stored inside always.
I might spray some light oil on it for storage but usually don't.

I have painted a few, both top and underneath with POR 15 or KBS Rust Seal. It doesn"t last forever but it lasts longer than anything else I ever tried.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
