Two Ways:

* By the Serial Number range (767352 to 779096)
* The Model Code (ie: 148-730-100)

---- the 14 = Garden Tractor
----- the 8 = year of Manufacture
------ the 730 = the Factory Code for the 2072
------- the 100 = Color Code

Does it have the Rear PTO or 3pt lift? Seems like you did pretty good.... No cracks in the deck?

No other attachments the deck is a 374 Haban in good condition. I will clean and paint it as soon as i get the deck off. I am paying for the mower today and getting delivery a few hrs later. I have 3 cans of international white coming from summit racing today also. Can i use a good quality filter or do i need to buy the KH-52-050-02 CC filter? How about the hydro fluid CC only or any brand that has the IH B-6 spec.
Thanks for all your help

Are you sure IH white is the correct color for the 2072?

I think you did pretty good on the price.

Here is a link to a Haban 374 I did a few years ago and to this day I've never had it under a tractor. As always. I got a lot of help from the members on here.

Love my Cub

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
