My biggest concern is room for the wide oil pan rather than worrying about the wiring.

You're not getting a wide pan in there without major modification and fabrication to the frame.
I decided to attempt to stick my M12AQS into my 1250 last night, and it almost works. The problem is the shroud is just a hair bigger around at the base and it hits the iso mounts on both sides. So the engine won't go down all the away down against the mounting rails to bolt. So that's not going to work unless I eliminate the iso mounts. I don't know what's different as far as mounting in a 109 vs 1250, but if you were to get an M12AQS narrow base somehow, you might have the same issue with the shroud hitting the frame due to it being just a little bigger than the K series.

To sorner; there are no iso mounts in a 109. Just flat plates coming of the frame for a solid bolt in. Mike

I know... I'm just saying it might not work in general. Its still might hit the frame even in a 109. The 1210 my engine came from had a similar mount to the QL, but a bracket on top that lifted the engine up about 1 inch or so. (and cross supports in front and behind the cross member).
