Might try putting it up on jack stands, supporting only from the frame. Then just go around to to see what jiggles.

I was able to replace the bolts that were missing on the rear frame. I also found one missing on the front of the frame. I’m still experiencing a vibration. I’ll have to live with the vibration For now.

Since this is a NF tractor, might have to jack the tractor up, get underneath and have a look.

I put the TracVack back on. I recently took it off when I changed the transmission fluid. Not sure how long it was on there. Previous owner is dead. Most of the vibration is gone.

Well the 127 is now leaking transmission fluid. Assuming the vibration damaged something. I’m going to part ways with it. A bit beyond my skill set to fix. If someone wants the tractor it is free to a good home. I’m in New Franklin OH.

I found the leak. Something on the drive shaft cut a hole in the top of the transmission filter. Not sure how the frame piece above the shaft comes off? I’ve taken every bolt off I can but it’s not moving. I’ll attach a picture of the piece I’m talking about.

9 years ago I bought a 1992 Buick Century and it started running hot with a bad head gasket. I came to work and asked if anyone knew a good shop. An older gentlemen asked me what engine it had, then he told me that if I took good pictures and brought them to him each day, he would walk me through changing the head gasket. 7 days later it was done, and ran great until I sold it. You can do this man.

Thanks man! From the link you posted it looks like I have to take the dashboard and steering wheel off along with the rest of the top half of the tractor before I’ll have access. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.

That piece DOES NOT come off!
It's a welded integral part of the frame. The only thing that could have made a hole in the top of the filter is something on top of it coming loose such as the spirol pin or bolt that someone put in place of it working its way out. I suspect that may be the source of your vibration as well. Loose and wallowed out spirol pin holes on the driveline coupler. You may need to split the tractor to resolve these issues. Removing the steering wheel and dash will be a futile effort at best and will not gain you much at all. |

Okay man. I’m not sure what you mean when you say “split the tractor”. How does one split a tractor? Appreciated

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
