Default KT17 - Tune-Up Kits

Good evening.

I was wandering if there was a maintenance kit for a KT17 Series II for a 782. My dad and I bought three of these machines 15yrs ago. I recently built a house and want to bring one of these to life. After 15yrs, the machine fired right up! So, I want to give it some love. Oil, air, plugs, etc.

Let me know!

Thanks! Greg

Regarding the spark plugs, save a lot of money over Kohler prices and specify Champion or equal RV17YC.

Yup. I just got these, plus Kohler air filter, fram inline fuel filter (they were out of Wix) and Wix oil filter for my M18 last time I was at Farm & Fleet.

No stores by you OP, like a Farm & Fleet or TSC?

I'm not a fan of the generic kits on eBay with china parts.

Thumbs up

Yes, additionally the WIX oil filter is light years ahead of the currently available Kohler part.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
