Default Sprayer Build

I’ve been looking at sprayers for a while to reclaim my yard from the clover, dandelions, and Creepy Charlie that have taken over. TSC had some of their sprayers on sale for Labor day so I picked up a 25 gal Fimco ATV sprayer yesterday. TSC prices make absolutely no sense to me. The price varied $50 between the 3 closest stores. Luckily, the cheapest place had the sprayer in stock.
I also picked up the fittings, strainers, nozzles, and hose to build a boom.

After removing the sides from my trailer, I strapped the sprayer down and built a boom from angle iron that’s clamped to the trailer. Magnets attached to the switch with electrical tape keeps the switch in place on the fender.

Looks great , I wish you the best on killing those weeds, I have deep
sown hatred of weeds personally. Do you have a tried and tested chemical
mix you prefer. After what seems like decades of fighting weeds I still
don't have mix for my sprayer that I am always pleased with, good luck.

Thanks

Sprayed the yard today with a mixture of Trimec and Dawn dish soap to help the spray stick to the weeds. Hopefully I got the application rate high enough. I stared at charts until I was cross-eyed. Next time I’ll probably try a slightly larger tip size to put on a little more.

I’ll report back in a week or two if the spray works or not.

So, it looks like the Trimec helped knock down the dandelion crop from what I had last spring. If the winds stay calm, I’ll try to spray again this week.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
