Default K301 acr

Machine shop called yesterday and advised that I buy a .030” over piston in my K301 that I’m rebuilding for my Cub 125, so I called Norman and ordered his ultimate rebuild kit for my engine. I’m really looking forward to putting my tractor back together, but I had to “reshape” the little spring on the ACR on my cam. Other than that, everything else is in order. I’ll post pics of the finished project. Thanks for all the help in getting my marginal 125 up to snuff!

Better off to replace that spring.....reshaping springs can weaken it. I think CC Specialties may have them.

I'm not sure about that....
What it says is they are NLA from Cub Cadet or Kohler (not CCC) yet they have a price $28.00. Scroll down the list and you'll see items with $0.00 price. What does that mean??? To me, it may be the springs are $28.00 whatever they have left in their stock.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
