Very impressive work. I strongly recommend that you put a set of rear end braces on it when you put it back together. Xtreme has them on sale.

I got a bunch of small parts painted and started reassembly of the chassis. My son stopped over and helped me install the front and rear axles. I set the engine in and now hav the tractor on jack stands. Tomorrow I can continue with reassembly with the parts I painter today. If things go right I may be painting the red parts Monday. Later

Looks great Tom. Putting one back together after many hours of cleaning and painting is the best part, second only to the test drive when it's done! I'll vote for red tin w/white stripe, black frame, red rims w/silver stripe and white implements. Just like the big boys. I'm sure anything you choose will look great!

Take a look at the 454 utility tractor in the photos. The wheel is white, rim is silver (forgive the overspray on the tires) and the weights red. Don't know how that wheel color scheme would look with a black frame, maybe take a look at some Case-IH machines from the late 80's, think those had black frames.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
