Default Is it worth it?

I think the price is a little high. What would you offer?

Guess I should have included the description:

Nice restored cub lowboy 154. Allot of time and new parts. New seat, battery, steering wheel, new fluids and filters, lights ,wiring, PTO rebuild with new bearings, new clutch and brake. Tranny fixed, hydraulic cylinder, to much to list. Mower was gone over , new belts. Hate to sell, just don't need it anymore. Runs good. Used for 4 years.

Check CL in your area to see what they are selling for. Price doesn't seem too bad looking at the paint and all the new parts. Those things can be a money pit if you buy one with "issues" and try to fix it up.

They were good machines but very underpowered. They could hardly run the mower deck.

If you’re in the market for one, that’s not too unreasonable as long as it’s not just skin deep. Those things can get spendy fast.

I too feel the engines are very under powered.
That said, obviously you want one.
It would be respectful if you went to view/drive it and note what is good and what needs attention on the machine. then make an offer that you are comfortable with.
Something that upsets me, is someone that calls or contacts me and asks what do I have to have for an item I'm selling?
I usually respond they really can't afford it, if they are asking that question.
and hang up.
What something is worth is what a buyer and seller agree on.
The price stated, seems in the ball park for my area, but maybe not yours.

If you have looked high and low for something and finally find it, buy it before someone else does.
Do always remember, do you really need or want something.
Luck!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
