Looks like a fun project. Nice to see it's painted up and looking strong. If you're happy with it that's all that counts. Dare to be different! Enjoy!

I always love seeing a Cub kill some innocent grass, especially when it's tall and thick. Looks great!

Thanks guys, its a blast just watching him. Clayton is the operator, that was his project for 4-H. His dad passed it down to him and they rebuilt it together when he was only 10 years old.

Cool project, ain't nuthin wrong with a custom. Actually, I've come to really like the modified Cubs. Factory correct restos are great but there is a lot to be said for outside the box builds.
This is a great build, a young man and his dad building something together. Doesn't get any better than that!

Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
