Default For those who have added dual hydraulics to your Cyclops

What did you use for a bulkhead fitting if you didn't use the Cub quick connects? I haven't found anything that would seem to work as well as the Cub fitting with the retaining ring yet.

The IH/Cub Cadet couplers were made by Parker up to s/n 800,000. You can use: SM-251-4FP

Thank you Roland. I would also be open to using a standard ag coupling and switching out the end on my blade if that would be a better long term route that wouldn't lock me in to the expensive Cub or Parker specific fittings. I'm just not sure how to actually lock the coupling into the holes in the frame.

You can buy the Parker fittings online or at any Hydraulic Shop.

Thanks guys. I ordered two of them this morning. Pictures for that part number vary on different sites so I'm not sure if they will accept a snap ring to hold them into the frame or not. I'll report back what I find out.

If you ordered Parker fittings using the Parker part number , it will have a snap ring grove. I've purchased several.

When I did my 2182 two years ago I couldn't get a snap ring to work, the frame was too thick for the new couplers so I got some 7/8" collars with set screws and slid them on the back of the coupler to hold them in place.

Thanks to everyone who provided input on this thread. As Diesel Doctor said, the Parker fittings came with the snap ring and fit perfectly. This was a pretty straightforward project. The most challenging part for me was extending the hard line back to the hydro pump. I had a rusty line so I cut out the rusty part of the line since I needed to extend it anyway. I flared the ends and used standard 3/8" brake line as a replacement. I bought used lines for the lift cylinder and 18" hoses to go to the front outlets.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
