Default 782D Diesel a real beast !!!

Hello ... new here ... working on my 782D ... not sure what year ...

Model # 144882399
Serial # 2050606U731680

Red ... with 50" mower deck ... 54" snow plow ... just acquired a rear blade and three point hitch on a junk machine. Looks as if installing the three point hitch could be "interesting" ....

The hitch installation isn't that bad...the instructions should be in here.

That 782D was part of the 1984 production year.

Sorry this picture is so big ... but the detail is great this way.

On the seat is my grandson Evan (Downs Syndrome) ... on the hitch is my other grandson Alex ... behind him is their aunt, my daughter Juli.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
