Intro
Greetings,
1𝘴𝘵 CC tractor is 149, and only so far. Bought to use around in the yard, mow between blueberries bushes, and use for general purpose hauling and such where I don’t won’t to involve a larger, more invasive tractor. Since I’ve got her, I’ve decided that I want to install a hitch and be le to use the lift for some Brindly plows and such for some small gardening spots that I have maintained with Troybuilts and David Bradley’s. Seems as though I’m getting a little long in the tooth, and got a hitch in my get along. I’m looking for info on what’s needed to get all of the components and install before the garden season arrives in GA. I plan to upload some pics as soon as I figure the steps for this. Bear with me........ not so much a dummie as just never needed to.... Mechanically inclined, been welding, fabricating and machining all of my life. Was a commercial poultry producer in another life, with cows, horses, hay and the such. Not trying to write a novel, just looking for info |

Welcome. Since you’re a machinist and fabricator, making your own rear lift should be no problem. I built mine and made some sketches. You’ll also need the lower bracket that attaches behind the hitch plate, a sleeve hitch adapter, lift pin and straps

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
