The pressure gauge was used by my Grandpa back in the 70's. The tape measure and tube thermometer was at my grandparents also. Brings back good memories.

My Dad has a couple of these hats, but pretty sure it is red at the base on his.

He has an IH 3/4 drive socket set, and a drill bit set (although the bits are gone), misc sockets, and a couple fire extinguishers.

He also has a big coffee pot that is painted like a No.1 Engine oil can.

There's also some NOS parts floating around over there, including a never installed digital tach for an 86-88 series tractor. No idea how he ended up with that.

Cool! I wouldn't use it, it would be way more expensive than going to the dealer and getting some in plastic bottles.

Just not the same anymore.
It's still like this, in some regards. I went to the Redline equipment store in Adrian MI last saturday to buy some CNH paint and spent more time chatting with the parts guy than I did searching for the paint, etc. It doesn't help that the guy has known me since I was born....

I like the IH stuff. I can relate about not saving things: I worked at a Kmart for 10 years and couldn't care less to save anything that said Kmart on it- the store I worked at is gone and the whole company will likely go under within the next 10 years. 50 years from now (doubtful) people will be searching for nostalgic Kmart things and wonder why I didn't save any of it.

The Adrian store is my go-to store for my IH parts, Yes I know Dan,
The IH dealer that was in Tecumseh was closer but long gone.

Our J.D dealer had a wood floor in Tecumseh, the building is still there but dealer built a modern store on the main highway, then in a few years, like 20, retired and sold to a large chain dealership, think they have 8 stores scattered throughout the state.
Try the Carlton IH dealer some time,it still has the old time feel to it.

I can get a pretty decent discount for parts at the store in Adrian. Always a great chat with Mr. Gary Henry.

Never tried the place in Carleton. Not knocking it but it has an old time feel b/c the guy was resistant to upgrading hence why they lost the franchise. I still might have to make a trip regardless one day.

Sorry for derailing the OP.

This is from one of his traning sessions I suppose.
It has a zippered back and is made from some pretty thick stuff.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
