Do any of you gentleman by chance have a working coil laying around that you would be interested in donating to first time cub owner with coil problems? If not whats your price?

I don't have any extra ones, I'm actually in need of two of them, but they're like $15 on eBay used and $40 new.

I do not have one layin around but here is the Kohler part # 41 519 21-S. It sell for about 70 buck at NAPA. Another option is NAPA part # IC14 which sell for about 26 bucks.

Go to an auto parts store and get a coil for an old VW with the air-cooled flat four. It's like $15 or so.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
