Ported 129 rearend
Guys, I purchased the hydraulic lift setup from a 1450 to put on my 169 that came from the factory with manual lift. Though the valve hard lines are different..., if you use the valve mount from the quietline, and the lift handle also (clamp-on arm), it works almost as though it were designed for it. Finding the original mounts and hard lines would only be necessary if you are going for the restored/show tractor look. Mine works fine with the quietline parts.
One precaution tho, the MANUAL LIFT 169s need the spring and cone for the lift feature updated, IF you add the lift feature. Happy Cubbing!! FFGino. ________________________________ 1650 x2, 169, 149, 127, 109, 100. |

Ported 129 rearend.
Yamaguy,
I don't have any pics of my setup, however if you look at any pic of a quietline setup, my looks the same. The quietline valve mounts to the steering column and my 169 is mounted the same way. The frames are BASICALLY the same so the later stuff (most of it except the prioritized items) fit up in the same manner/location. In the future, when I can find the steel lines, the valve mount and the handle that accuates the valve, I may change it over in case I happen to sell the 169 to a purist. IF I find the time. Happy Cubbing!! FFGino |

I'm going to exchange my frame with the gentlemen that I bought it off of if he has a 1X8 or 1X9 WF. If not, then he will give me my $$ back. Now, to find the time to work things out!!
Cub Cadet 123 |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
