I wish I had taken pictures of more of the mods I have seen. Here's a few of the ugliest...

My 782D as I bought it
782D_3.jpg
107 with a really poor choice of a seat
left.jpg
'The Batmobile' (used to be a 71, only complete tractor I have parted. That's a Wisconsin engine and truck rear wheels and tires...the bolt pattern on the wheels didn't match, they only used a couple of lug bolts)
batmobile.jpg
Red 102 (paint reacted with the original paint, so all of it was falling off)
red102.JPG

I haven't bothered to take pictures of all of the bent nails and baling wire in place of cotter pins, bolts instead of spirol pins, etc. I wish I had taken a picture of the muffler that was on the 124 that had my loader on it...the original muffler was mostly rusted out, so the PO shoved a couple of random pieces of pipe in it to 'fix' it.

My 126 had cotter pins in the drive shaft too. It also had some pathetic home made gas tank brackets held to the engine tin work with sheet metal screws, 2 of which were stripped out. The frame had been cut out to fit a 14 hp and then patches were poorly welded in after the frame was allowed to bend. They didn't even bother straightening it first.

I think my fix looks a little better.

I never got pics of it,but the PO "fixed"the issue when the starter generator went bad on the 104 i have. What to do?Well the PO took a SG off a sears(turns the wrong way)and drilled holes in the side of the grill and made a bracket to mount it so it would turn the right way,it looked like it worked sooooo well with the SG sticking off the grill bouncing around with a 4 foot belt on it......

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
