Default Oklahoma Antique Tractor Association Show

Well this is held here in town once a year, and this weekend was it.

I didn't remember in time to enter my Cub, I did go and see what what they had.

First a Homemade "Maytag" tractor with a Maytag motor.

Next 2 are a Gibson Lever Steer Tractor, Wisconsin engine.

Next is a Cadet 76, in very good shape.

One VERY badly abused Cub Cadet 100.

And a few Regular Cubs.

And a Magnatrac Dozer.

And of course bunches of the big Green Tractors.

Thanks for the pics, Pat! Looks to be a nice show. I can't believe someone would abuse a 100 like that.

The dash is smashed and the steering column is broken. The pitman arm is still bolted to the draglink.

I am thinking about joining this Group, since it's local. It's only $30 a year, and I may be able to help bring a bigger small tractor presence to it. It would be a good place for a Plow day.

It was in Haskell about 20 miles west of Muskogee, and the next show I think is next year.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
