73 is the tractor model number. What model deck does he have?

May have some minor issues to deal with moving a deck from 73 to a 100. The 73 has a quick attach arrangement for the mule drive, the 100 does not. So the mule drive will not just clip on the 100 as it does on the 73. If you can get a mule drive for the 100 or modify the QA mule drive, then you can get the deck running on the 100. That's probably the only hurdle.

Remember, you need the deck, the support/lift frame and a mule drive unless you have those parts already for your 100. If you do and only need the deck, all the triangular shaped decks are pretty much interchangeable.

A QA mule drive will bolt onto the 100. I had one on my 100.

That's good to know, thanks for adding that. I have a 123 but no mule drive for it, but lots of QA mule drives.

Actually, I have a mule drive (currently in my shed) that came off the 100.
I also have a pivot hanger so I may have everything I need.
I have a 482-U-1113 deck. Just found serial number. All it seems to need is one spindle, set of blades, and a tension spring and I might be in business!

That's a 48 inch deck. Should all fit up fine. May be a bit much for 10 hp, but will still work.

Looks like this is the only thing that doesn’t mate up.

Is it possible to use it by just grinding off the pins? Seems like it would work otherwise.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
