HVAC question

P.S. that 9 pin connector has an incoming pink wire on #5 not shown in the schematic.
And the incoming side only has those three wires #4, 5 & 6.
But it has the wires on the downstream side per schematic plus #5.

I think I see an issue. Why is there a purple & yellow wire on compressor contactor coil connection as seen in your first pic? If you look at the schematic it shows 2 yellow wires on the coil connection and the purple goes to the transformer. Maybe get a close look at that and snap a few pics for us.

It looks like #5 would be for the 2nd stage of heat if you had a 15 or 20KW heater package.

"That violet/purple wire left of the yellow wire on bottom of contactor goes off to the right and is wire nutted to the yellow thermostat wire and another yellow wire going deeper into the cabinet just like the yellow wire that is on the contactor. So that purple wire should also be considered a yellow wire.
It appears to be a siamesed terminal with another currently vacant lug."

I guess it was a "lack of teeth" quality control issue to get it changed to a yellow wire.
