Default Whats my 782 worth? I'm ignorant....

Hi, I am trying to sale a 782 That I bought. I am not sure of the value but started at 2000. I know. to high. So what is it going to bring? and one more thing, I put in my craigslist ad That it has the front PTO. There is no hydraulics on the front so is there no PTO on the front? Are those pulleys not able to integrate to anything? and if so can I say there is a PTO on the front or is it described as something different? It does have the three point hitch on the back but it doesn't look like it has any kind of live PTO.
Sorry for my ignorance gentleman. oh; and it is a nice machine.
any input would greatly appreciated.
Paul

Thanks so much. The condition is extremely nice. bought at an estate sale for a good price.
I also got all maintenance records and manuals and original receipt and some sales circulars with it.

It's tough to put a price on a tractor. Depends on geographic location some. I think I'd advertise it at $1000 obo. If it's in nice shape (as it appears to be) runs well and has been continuously maintained, then it would bring $750 here in VA. It has a front PTO that drives the mower deck. Those tractors had electrically operated PTO clutches.

Hi there KF5PV! Welcome to OCC! Here's what I did cause I wanted to Know the Value of a tractor. I went to a Tractor Supply Store and for $16.95 I bought this book called hot line Compact Tractor Guide 2013 volume XI and it will tell you what the current value is. A BLUE BOOK for Tractor's. Your asking about TWICE the amount of it's Book Value. I hope this helps you out.

I agree with sawdustdad on his assessment pricewise. Good luck with your sale.

Try a lump price or start selling the attachments on their own and drop the 782 to 900-1200.

That's a killer setup!

KF5PV,
Hello OM. I'll add my $.02 about the value of used tractors. Figuring out what they are worth is similar to trying to pin the down the value of good quality used ham gear (like the old Collins gear for instance). That's a nice looking tractor; good luck with the sale. Wonder if there is a Old Tractor net on one of the bands.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
