Tim, The outside feed is always open except for when your servicing the system. There should be an automatic bleeder and an expansion tank in the system as well.
Are you experiencing any kind of issue with the system right now?

Not that i am aware off. I turned it on and it raised the temp in the house to where i set in, all the pipes feel hot and i get water out of every valve i open. I was just wanting to make sure i wasn't going to damage it with my inexperience. I have a call into the company that installed it and hopefully i can get them out here next week to give it a once over and school me on it's operation.

I did some digging and this is a low pressure boiler, I assume that's why it has 3 pumps, one to circulate it through the boiler and one for each floor.

How many zones do you have? In other words. How many t-stats? Should be a pump for each one

Glad you got it figured out for the most part. My system was clearly much older design (house was built in the 1918) pretty cool to hear about advancement in technology. I miss the radiant heat, by far my favorite part of that house.

In your pic I see 2 zone pumps. Maybe 3rd I dont see is for some other dedicated circuit. Do you have any in floor radiant heat?
In the second pic you show a valve. That's pressure relief. On the taco scoop there's a self bleeder. They get corroded. Yours looks a tad corroded. Be sure that's clean so it can work. It automatically bleeds air that enters the system

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
