Default Will it work? 190-321-100 on 1050?

Thank you to all who helped get this old girl 1050 back to life again in my other thread. Got the driveshaft put together and installed this weekend and it runs great.

Here’s a question for you later model gu ru’s as I’m still a little green with the spread frames. I have the ability to do some horse trading for a 46 GT deck (190-321-100) that’s decent and a mule to go with it. Needs an idler and blades but only used one season. By the pictures it looks like one of those vacuum decks you guys mention. Anyway, will this mule and deck fit with no issues or will I have to modify something? Also, will the ten horse be able to handle it? I think it should be ok, we cut our grass here very tall and any mower really doesn’t have to work hard as the grass blades are very thick and dense on st Augustine floratam grass that I have and I don’t get any clogging on the small timed deck all the way up to the haban. Feel free to talk me out of it but wanted some real world experience pros and cons.

According to Cub Cadet, these are the Mower Decks available for the model 1050:

* 190-357-100 - 38C Deck
* 190-358-100 - 44C Deck

I suppose other decks could be made to fit and work with modifications and alterations.

I think Sam had a 46" gt deck on a 1211 so it's doable, hopefully he will post up about how he did it cause I'm a little curious also.

My 1211 is running a GT46. Works great!

Thanks for the responses guys. A naughty little bird told me that the pto pulley is a different size diameter on the cyclops versus the older series and the rpm would be questionable?

Coop did you mount yours or was it on there?

I did but that was after I repowered it with a 16hp Vanguard out of a 2160 so it had the big PTO.

Thanks Coop. Can you measure the pulley diameter of the pulley on the deck that the belt goes around that comes from the engine as well as the engine pulley diameter for me? Thank you in advance

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
