Time to start building an ark after all the rain this year. That's what i'd need if it floods up here. There are two ways out but there's a creek on each about a half mile down. I've seen them both wash out a few times. Mike

That's how my parents place is. It would be impossible to flood their property but both ends of their road goes under water if we get a bad storm and the water is a few feet deep and moving so fast you don't dare cross it.

Well, still here, the sun is out and it turned COLD in Southern terms. Was in the low 50's this morning--it was so hot and humid yesterday morning you could hardly get your breath at 7AM. Today is the first day of fall like weather. We only got 3-4 " of rain from the hurricane, but about an hours worth of strong winds knocking power out all over the place for about 18 hrs. So, time to put the generators away and go pick up sticks. Haven't been to check farm buildings yet, hopefully all are OK.

Looks like Eglin was on the western edge of it all.
If you end up on any side, the west of eye is best.
Hope your son is okay. Did he evacuate or have to shelter in place?

I saw Tyndall AFB to the east of Eglin got hit pretty hard.
I would not be surprised if that base now got decommissioned and whatever their mission was moved to Eglin.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
