1650 project nearly complete
My 1650 is almost ready for winter and I thought I'd share a few images with the folks that helped me so much on this project. The wheel weights (homemade concrete) and rear end weight still need to be added. You can see the frame and drawbar extension to support the weight in the picture of the back end. I also threw in a shot of the split tractor at the peak of the disassembly process.

Thanks for the encouraging words; both during and after the project. The flashing light is a much needed safety feature. I live on a county road with a posted limit of 55 MPH. My home sits 250' back, so there's very little ambient light when out at the end of the driveway during the evening. With cars screaming by at 60, I feel better with the added visibility. I put a similar mast and light on my Bolens 1257 equipped with a blower years ago and it works great. The wheel weight tutorial will come shortly.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
