Default cub cadet 100.

Hey guys.

I'm looking at getting a 100 for two reasons. One reason is that , I always wanted to add one to the collection, and reason two is to possibly move snow. So the questions are, can the 10 horse handle a 36" snowthrower? I wouldn't be using it all the time since I have a atv with plow. and question. Twp is we have a 36" blower off of our 125. Will this work on the 100? or will I need a Danco thrower?

If you use a thrower on a 100, you'll need a creeper. Actually, I'm not sure why you'd want to use a thrower on a gear drive...it sucks. I did it ONCE. I'd leave it on the 125. The same thrower will work. The 10 hp should work, but I've quite honestly nearly stalled an 18 hp twin with a QA-36A. It'll do the job, but not as fast as something with more power would.

OK thanks mattg. It would only be on the 100 for this winter if that. I have a 129 and a 169 also but the motors need rebuilding so they cant do snow duty. This is kinda an excuse to get a 100 though.

Hey quit trying to steal my business. Just kidding, yours is much nicer than that old clunker I am trying to sell. It is on eBay now if anyone is interested. If it does not sell. I think I will part it out.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
