Well that's good to know. The lift rod is easy to make up. As far as the lift bracket goes,
I have a really good idea on making up one of those.
Might have to blow the dust off of the Hobart.
As you said they are way more than $60.00
Reading the info Rolland posted, about the blade being used on
so many tractors, I was hoping that would be the case.
I had made an offer to the guy on the
1863 Sunday, but he hasn't got back to me, so I guess it
was too hard to type NO and push send.
So I might try for a 1250 that's for sale in my price range.
I want to Thank you all for the valuable information that you
provided for me, and for answering all my questions.
Thank much, Bryan

None that I know of. Looks like you have to draw up one for the machinist.

Just saw this Bugeye, not sure how I missed it.You have a bracket I could measure and trace?

Thanks Lew. I didn't think there would be one, but had too ask.

Yes, I have that bracket. You are welcome to trace or measure. I also have a new lift rod. Send me a private message to exchange info. FYI, there is a bracket on ebay. part#719-3093. Not mine.

A machine shop would likely charge a few hundred bucks to make that piece.

A welding shop would be better and could probably do it for a couple hundred.

A guy handy with a zip cut and welder could make it at home for very little.

When you have a drawing, post it up here. If they are valuable and hard to find, it may be worthwhile for some retired guy to make a few between fishing and napping.

Take along a piece of cereal box cardboard and a hammer. Make a template just like tapping out a gasket. Make two from the back with the shape and the holes., then place one on the front and tap out the front receiver.

So I had made my offer to this Gentleman on 3/14 ... So fast forward to Tuesday night 3/24 after making the deal for the 1250 in NY. Mr 1863 texts me after how ever many days of nothing but crickets, and asks me when I wanted to come pick up the 1863 WHAT, are you F!@#*&^% kidding me.
At least this one is reasonable, about 40-45 minute drive, pending traffic. Trailer is hooked up. I'll let you know.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
