Default So, what's next for OCC?

Now that Roland is no longer with us, what will happen to this site? I've been a long time member on here and this is my go to site and would hate to see it go away? Who is doing the upkeep and paying the light bill? Hopefully someone will take it over and maintain it.

Has anyone heard what happened to Roland?

I can only guess a massive cardiac thing.
I did see/ read age related mental dimise as is normal for us old farts in his posts here.
I am thankful we had/ have people like him that devote time to
helping others.
We are promised nothing and not given a time frame of when it
ends.
Today is called the "present"because it is a present, not a promise.
Tomorrow is a gift, that I'm always delighted to receive,
and appreciate it much
I seem to go to a lot of funerals in my later years, driving home the fact that the light at the end of the tunnel is a fast freight
Speeding toward me.

Stay well people!

It's been on my mind as well. The forum has been an immeasurable
asset to my Cub education. I certainly want it to continue for all of
us who use it.
I have always felt somewhat useless when it comes to helping most
of the questions that come in. That said, once in awhile I can now help
which makes the forum fun. The knowledge you guys have is awesome
and I read it all just to learn.
I am also quite limited in my ability to do the computer thing. First and
only forum I have ever been part of. I still struggle to navigate it at times
That is kind of long winded way of saying I don't quite know how to
jump in and help. But I am sure willing to do whatever my abilities will
do in keeping us afloat. I will continue to help keep the light bill paid
but how it gets paid I have not a clue.
Am open to suggestion. Anyone can PM me, we can talk on the phone or
whatever. For the future of guys like me and all those who are to come. I wish it to continue to be a great resource.
Ken

I was wondering the same thing. There is so much great info on here, it would be a shame to loose it. I’m not sure what I could do to help, but if there’s anything I could do I would.

If I remember right, Roland told me he paid annually to the company that runs the forum behind the scenes.

Does anyone have a contact for Roland's family, and were there any other site staff on the forum other than Roland ?

Someone who has authority within the forum will I guess initially have to contact vBulletin.inc and make some form of arrangement as to payments etc
After that post a message for all members as to what and when things need to be done

I may Have the Name of the company somewhere In My Messages or email
Last year Roland was Helping me as I was Looking at starting another every brand Garden tractor forum. But shelved for the time being

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
