Default New or rebuilt pressure relief valve.

Well if it is not one thing it is another with the cub. I guess thats what you get out of a machine that has been sitting in a shed for 8 or so years. Today besides the mower being extremely hard to start, I noticed a pressure relief vale leaking. When the tractor is stationary, the trans oil just flows out of it. I guess it is time to replace the faulty valve. I know that there are some out there that can rebuild these things, but I need the valve replaced as soon as possible. What is the typical turn around for a rebuilt valve? As I need this mower to mow the yard, where is the cheapest price for one? I saw one on ebay for 78 dollars can I get any cheaper?

Now I am starting to realize why so many people have several cubs, when one starts acting up, pull the other one out to work until the first is fixed.

This is the fellow that many here have used with good luck. I have not yet, but will give him a try when I have some that leak.

How does this work? Do you need to send him the valve or does he have some that he has already rebuilt?

From the eBay ad,,,

"Your valves will need to be shipped to us"

"You will always receive your valve back"

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
