Ok I took off the brake pedal switch and it tested good (at least on continuity tester). I tested continuity from orange wire at seat plug to brake switch
which is good and then to dash light (brake pedal) and its good. I tested yellow wire from seat switch to ign switch and its good. I looked at the wire insulation for any obvious frays, etc...and it looks really good with no obvious breaks.


Any other thoughts on where to look?

Your testing did NOT check for shorts.

Take the Orange wire OFF the Seal Switch, insulate so it doesn't touch any thing, and see what you get.

I took the plug with the orange yellow wire off the seat when I tested. Is that what you mean?

Yes, unplug the Orange wire, if it has that.

Might it be possible to just use an on/off switch for the PTO? On or Off?

Where is the seat switch located? I don't see one on my 1641.

The switchs are located under the part with the springs.
