Default My new 1983 680

Been a member for awhile... First post though. Picked this beauty up from a local private airport. Very lightly used. It rides and cuts like it's brand new. Came with original receipt and all paperwork and manuals...

So this is my girlfriend's. LT1045 with 400 hours. Say what you want, I dont really care. I bought it for $50 and it needed nothing. I mostly bought it so she wouldnt touch my cyclops. I got it a $26 set of blades and pimped it out with some tsc hubcaps they were blowing out on clearance...for no good reason. Oh and I wired up a 12v plug to pull my sprayer with. I like the foot controls and cupholder but I'll stick with my other cubs!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
