Default IH CC 70 rear Ag tires…?

I really like Ag tires and this will be my first time buying/installing any. On eBay I found 6-12 Carlisle Ags that are “farm specialist” and made for 4wd tractors. They are brand new, but only $156.00 for the pair because it’s a private seller. The ad says that they are made specifically for 4wd compact tractors and to get Carlisle Tru-Power Ags for 60s-70s lawn mowers/tractors. Those are more like $170 for some reason. The two links are below. I have a few questions.
1. Would the farm specialist ones even fit on my 70? They are the correct diameter and all I know, but they seem larger in height with that huge tread pattern. I have Case fenders on my 70…
2. Would it be OK to put the farm specialist ones on my 70? The seller makes it really clear that they are specifically for 4x4 compact tractors. My 70 is obviously a 2wd lawn mower. I want these farm specialist ones more than Tru Powers because they are cheaper due to seller type and they are farm specialist…

If anyone is wondering, here’s what I’m putting on the front!

Carlisle Ags that are “farm specialist use the same size Rim as the 4 pLy true Powers. or Firestone Town & country tires(basically the standard Cub Turf Tread style that came on the 70 & 100).

Are you planning to mount these tires yourself?
If you have never done it before, keep in mind that the "Farm Specialist" tires are 6 ply.
You will need Paul Bunyan and Superman to help you, and you will still likely end up taking them to a tire shop to get mounted.
The others are 4-ply and more than tough enough for a Cub 70, and easier to mount.
You can get from Amazon with free shipping.....

This is what they look like on a Cub 70 and a Pennsylvania Panzer....

Thank you for informing me about the Farm specialist tires. I’ll go with them other ones then. I noticed it’s really hard to find ones that would match the originals. Firestone Town and Countrys are $160 EACH at Miller tire.

I find 6 Ply are not so Bad with 6-12's But with 26X12-12 I take then in and let My local Cub dealer do it with his Machine 6-12's even in 6 ply I can usually get them on with this https://buytsi.com/product/ch-22-ch-...nging-station/ which I don't Usually use with anything over 4 Ply with

At $672 (plus shipping) for that tire changer, I think I would just buy another Cub already equipped with the tires I wanted.

Well I didn't Buy it from the Manufacturer when I Bought it. I Bought it at Northern Tool and It was about $400 something a few Year's ago
I really rather Have an electric One But it's triple the Price. My Deere dealer actually uses the same Manual tire Changer. They will do same day Mounting But it about 40 Miles One way to the Deere dealer I want to use. My Cub Dealer may take more than 24hrs to Mount Tires & there 3 Miles away. So when I can I cut out the middle man for Mounting tires All My IH Cubs except for My 70 Have New Ag tires On them. I let My Cub dealer do the 6ply 26x12-12's On My 2182. I did the 4Ply HDAP style On My Cub XT3GSX with that Manual Tire changer done In 20 Minutes with Both rear Tires. I find when I Buy a Used Tractor with the tires I want the Tires are Not always In Good a condition. So to Me it is worth it to Be able to replace my Own tires when I can

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
