Default 1250 zero turn

Does any body have any ideas on how to turn a 1250 in to a zero turn?

First, welcome to OCC.

Interesting concept. There would be a lot of engineering and fabrication involved.

If you use the brakes to steer you won’t need to change the hydrostatic transmission

Remove the steering gear, replace the front spindles with caster wheels like on the front of a grocery cart only bigger.
build separate brake pedals for the rear brakes so you can steer it with the brakes, one brake pedal on either side
You will very quickly discover it is a bad/crazy idea.
But it will keep you busy for a while.
Better idea, buy a real zero turn of your choice and budget!

And since you will be steering with your feet you can have a beer in each hand.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
