carb is clean. the leak is on the air filter in the pic. The gas tank is clean and nothing on the screen. Gas line is new and so is the inline gas filter. IM going to play with the float a bit.

Float is probably out of adjustment for the leak issue. Your fuel delivery while using is probably due to your inline filter. Take it off and replace it with the sediment bowl that was originally on the tractor.

Are you sure that is 100% gas in the air filter? From the picture it looks like oil on the green filter. Is it smoking when you have it running?

Also, I'd put a clean filter on it to make sure it was breathing in enough air when moving at WOT.

Did you replace your fuel filter with the sediment bowl? Do this and report back. If you can't find one locally, they are on Amazon for like $12.

I have a grass catcher system that has a separate engine. I had the same problem the original poster had with my bagger engine. I picked up leaves after the sun went down and saw sparks jumping from the metal part of the sparkplug to the sparkplug boot. Change the sparkplug and the problem was solved.

Not sure if this is your problem...….worth checking

Glad you have your 129 running like a happy feline! It was probably just the condenser like one poster, ol' George, suspected earlier.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
