Did he check the compression? Those engines are on the low side if my memory is correct. Ol George will know.

I knew you would know. Maybe the PO checked it and saw something similar and thought he had damaged it.

Well we had a lull in the rain, so I went out and put the VMAXTANKS 7 function charger fixer upper on, and it would not kick on,
battery too dead. Well not to fret since a few months back, I decided I needed another tender, as the 7,8 or whatever it is I have,
wasn't enough and I found these NOCO Genius Chargers/tenders on AMAZON, that have a nifty force charge feature on them.
Let me tell you it worked on my barn find from CT that I bought, so put it on the 1810 and it's charging it up. Time will tell if it
will hold a charge, the one that was in the barn 104 is now in the 1250 I got last week, and is doing fine. So I'll take a compression
check tomorrow, whether the battery fully charges or not, and report back with my findings. .

Well... when I was younger, I wouldn't have let rain stop me, but now I'm a little older, I tend to like to stay dry.
Had an appointment to get THE shot today, and I'm just really tired and moving at a snails, pace.

I got shot at onct, glad that feller missed, might of hurt big time.
Then again maybe he missed on purpose secretly hoping I'd take his woman
away for good, leaving him to hisself without needin' to feed what he weren't breedin' regular.

Or do you mean "the shot" like penicillin for what you got unknowingly?
Aw well serious now:
Iffin yall talking Chi-naa virus, the first one usually ain't so bad but some folks experience some discomfort with the second one.

I felt some heart palpations and elevated blood pressure about 3 days after the second injection.
It was sorta like the feelin a feller gets when he is getting a new truck or tractor---or on his weddin' night
you know, before the remorse sets in.

Yeah, the slow boat one. Man about 2 hours after getting it, it was like BAM! down/out I went. Woke up and it was 2 hours later.
Feeling better today, still a little Froggy.
I got some readings to get and post.

Man it got cold and the wind be howling out there.
Put a fresh battery in cleaned all the connections, ground to frame etc.
But after going through the turn key and get nothing, nary a faint click.
Found that the wire terminals on the back of key start switch,
corroded, a few aggressive wiggles, Houston, we have ignition.
So cranked it over, and my left side reading was 60, and the right side was 72.
The left plug, old, surface rust, you can see/read that it got hot,
right side looks to be replaced with very faint/minimal signs of use.
Sprayed some either in the carb and it spit, sputtered and tried
to run for about 6-7 seconds and shut off. Now even with a jump
pack on a fresh battery, it's not wanting to turn over at all.
I'm going to leave it sit, starter prob got really hot from all the cranking.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
