With gas prices being as low as they are its the perfect time to take long trips to pick up cubs, I went to Lew's and back for $85 and it's a 600 mile round trip. The price of gas seems to be climbing and has went up about 50 cents in the last month, hopefully it doesn't go much higher.

OK....I am showing my age. Two hours one way is max for me. After that, I'll need a chauffeur.

To get my second 127 I went 5 1/2 hours one way to Minnesota with my fiancée and a great dane in the truck. Even with the load of cubs, gas, lunch, and time, I think it was $450 for the whole trip. You don't find a deal like that very often around Nebraska. I would drive 7 hours one way to find one like that again.

7+ hours one way and 950+ miles round trip... 60% for the Cub and 40% because I'd never been there and a great experience with my son! No regrets!

Drove all the way down to Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island once to pick up a 1450. Took me about an hour and 20 minutes each way. Swore I’d never do that again.

I only drove a hour one way to get my 147. Guess I got lucky.
It would depend on what it was and how much I wanted it for how far I'd go.

This sounds like the old commercial, "What would you do for a Klondike bar?" It depends on a lot of factors, like how rare the item is (and by rare I mean that both ways: how hard it is to find in general and how hard it is to find in your particular area), the price of the item, and how bad you want it! Oh, another factor is if the seller gives you correct information on his/her location. Once I drove 6 hours there and 2.5 hours back because he and the item was in an entirely different town that was miles away from where he said it was and did not return my phone call for over an hour. Stupid soft cab wasn't worth it, even for his asking price of $35.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
