Default Experience with Small Engine Warehouse?

I've been planning to order a drop in 23hp kit for my 784 as soon as I get my taxes done but they seem to have really poor reviews regarding their customer service after the sale is complete and also with honoring their warranty. Just looking for any feedback from those here who may have done business with them. The engine I'm planning to order will cost about $1,800 once it's shipped and I just don't want to have any issues.

If it was my tractor I'd pick up a 1440, 1641, 1863 ETC then you get everything you need including the CV drive shaft. Here's a 1440 for $150 on Facebook

Cub cadet 1440 riding mower. Runs great, drives great but needs deck work and hood is broken. Engine is a briggs & stratton vanguard 14hp horizontal shaft. Has hydrostatic cast iron transmission

Currently mowing with a real nice 1440 and it bogs down because of how steep my yard is and I picked up a NOS fan assisted bagger setup that bogs it down even worse. The kt17 in the 782 also bogs down a good bit on the hill which is why I want to go with a 23hp.

Has anybody tried "I save tractors" ? He has a good parts inventory, maybe he carries motors now. He sells mostly garden tractor parts. Good luck.

Have bought a few things lately from the I Save Tractors guy. Went
real smooth which in this day is saying a lot. I ordered, they shipped
next day, it showed up, it was what I ordered. And they answer their phone.
It was kinda like things used to be. We will see how long they can keep it up.

Ken

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
