Default 149 implements fitting a 127

Howdy. I am going to be getting a 127 this week to keep my 149s company and was wondering if the 149 implements would fit the 127. The 127 has been "modified" a bit so I have some work to do finding the real parts that go to it. Thanks, gardentoys

The 127 is a narrow frame and the 149 is a wide frame, plows and mower decks will work on either with the correct sub frames.

Which implements are we referring to here? Belly mount, rear mount, and front mount all connect differently. Some could cross and others may not. At least not without the correct adapters.

They won't "fit" right over. As mentioned the sub frames would need changed at least. For example, the front blade won't fit without swapping subframes. You need different mule drives for the mowers. I suppose the rear mount stuff would work, although you'd likely need a different mule drive for the tiller.

So, if you're thought is buying the 127 and simply "sharing" implements, it won't be that easy. The Wide Frames started with the next series, 1x8/9. If you want to simply be able to use attachments on both get another one of those or a Quietline 1x00/50.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
